The Port Fairy Pacers represent our association in competitions against other associations and teams throughout the region. In the 2023/24 season, the Pacers will field the following teams:
• Females: Under 14’s and Under 16’s
• Males: Under 12’s, Under 14’s Division 1, Under 14’s Division 2 and Under 16’s and 18’s combined
These teams are led by experienced volunteer coaches who are passionate about the sport and dedicated to helping players reach their full potential.
The squad coordinator oversees the running of the Pacers program and is responsible for advertising for expressions of interest from potential coaches mid-year. Following the appointment of coaches, there will be tryouts for each team, a Pacers information session for parents, and training will then begin in preparation for competing in tournaments.
It’s important to note that while the domestic competition is open to players of all abilities, representative basketball is reserved for the top players in each age division. Players and their parents/guardians are required to sign the PFBA Squad Guide, which outlines the expectations and commitments required for participation.
