The summer season is played over terms 4 and 1 of the school calendar while the winter season runs over terms 2 and 3. Eligible teams may be invited to register through PlayHQ. Once a team has been registered, the team organiser will receive a team link to be forwarded to players to enable them to register into the correct team. There is an upfront per player registration fee for the season to Port Fairy Basketball Association, and an additional yearly insurance fee set by Basketball Victoria. Teams must provide their own playing singlets with visible numbers. A scorer must be provided for each game or rotate bench players to score.
