Juniors

The junior domestic basketball competition is for children aged 8-18 years old and runs weekly during school terms.

The summer season is played over terms 4 and 1 of the school calendar while the winter season runs over terms 2 and 3. Age groups for competitions are decided after registrations have closed as it depends on player numbers. Competitions are never mixed-gender, and the age brackets are kept as close as possible to ensure all players can enjoy the game.

There is a $35 fee per player for the season to register to Port Fairy Basketball Association, an $9 weekly game fee and an additional yearly insurance fee set by Basketball Victoria.

Jerseys are provided for each player, which remain property of the Port Fairy Basketball Association and must be returned at the conclusion of each season. Players are required to wear their own black shorts with no pockets. Each team will be assigned a coach by the coaching coordinator, who will mostly be a family member of one of the players.

The coaching coordinator will put out a call for those interested in coaching prior to each season. Parents or guardians are requested to score games when needed. For any questions, please contact pfbadomestic@gmail.com.
